The Event Producer will report to the Director of Programs and work with the Project Managers, Faculty, Media Department, AV Team. We produce approximately 18 events each calendar year ranging from 5-Day in person retreats to 6-Day Virtual Coach Certification events down to 1-Day Virtual Immersion events, and you will be responsible for showrunning all of them as well as weekly Brave Thinking Masters lessons.

Brave Thinking Institute seeks a full time Event Producer/Showrunner to work hand in hand with our Programs, Events and Media Department to lead our in person and virtual events.

Brave Thinking Institute (est. 2009) is a global leader in the personal development/professional coaching industry. We’re on the lookout for a skilled Production Manager.

Position Summary

The Event Producer will report to the Director of Programs and work with the Project Managers, Faculty, Media Department, AV Team. We produce approximately 18 events each calendar year ranging from 5-Day in person retreats to 6-Day Virtual Coach Certification events down to 1-Day Virtual Immersion events, and you will be responsible for showrunning all of them as well as weekly Brave Thinking Masters lessons.

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Showrunning - you will be the single point of accountability from the Programs side to collaborate with AV, Events, and Technology Teams to execute flawless events. This includes extensive communication on comms systems during events, running teleprompter,s and communicating with faculty and PMs - includes weekly Brave Thinking Masters class
  • Final approval of Tick-Tocks and eMaps (note: tick-tock is NOT the social media app, but our term for the minute by minute showrunning document. Also referred to as ShowFlow, Show Bible or Cue-to-Cue etc)
  • Final proofing and approval of powerpoints for live events and printed materials as well as post purchase emails and in-event emails and text messages
  • Schedule and attend planning meetings. Support Project Manager with development of corresponding agendas, taking notes and follow up tasks
  • Work with the Events team to schedule faculty rehearsals. Be present during rehearsals - provide list for each faculty of what to practice - provide insight and support/direction
  • Work with Project Manager on coordination with faculty for presentations (accountability for on time delivery of all relevant materials)
  • Lead morning tick-tock review meetings and All-In Staff Meeting
  • Review event surveys and compile summary data and Net Promoter Score
  • Sort through internal event debriefs and note suggested changes and implement approved items for future events - work with Project Managers and Faculty
  • Work with Events, Technology and Art Director for Event Site Designs and implementation (including gamification) for virtual events
  • Testimonial Curation and Management - work with Founder to scripting and curating testimonials, identify new candidates for testimonials, organize and run prep sessions etc - providing a safe space for people to share their stories and empower them to tap into their emotions to get to the heart of their growth.

 

Education / Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Event Manager/Producer (lead)
  • Experience with both in-person and virtual events (hybrid is a bonus)

 

Skills / Functional Competencies

  • Work in a fast-paced environment where things can change quickly
  • Ability to travel for events (as needed) and support multi-day events virtually
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail - Learn quickly - Ability to work with or learn to work with multiple platforms
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets

 

Work Environment

  • Home office (tele-commute) - Must have a distraction free work environment with no background noise
  • Regular business hours 8:30am - 5:30pm; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Nights & Weekends as needed for events (Comp days given for weekends)
  • Live in or near Orange County, CA
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Regular travel will be required for in person and many virtual events - mostly Orange County
  • Normal physical activity including movement, hearing, seeing and communication.

 

Salary: Full Time, $80,000 annually. This includes benefits packages (PTO, Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision & 401k).
