Accounts Payable Clerk

FINANCE

Remote Full Time

Reporting to senior Accounting staff to support the Accounts Payable department with accurate and efficient work.

POSITION APPLICATION

Position Overview:

Position Responsibilities:

● Vendor setup and account maintenance - 1099 compliance

● Purchasing transactions are recorded in a confidential and timely manner

● Schedule processing of disbursements to vendors within terms

● Purchase requisitions are entered, reviewed and/or monitored as needed to enable the

recording of purchases.

● Posting of ledger entries

● Reconciliations - Bank, Credit Card, and other accounts as needed

● Payroll processing support

● Complete Month end processes in a timely manner

● Special projects to support finance department

 

Position Strategic Focus:

● Assure all accounting processes are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

● Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

● Multitasking to support Vendors and internal department staff while continuing daily tasks

● Promote improvements and upgrades to current procedures.

 

Position Tactical Focus:

● Working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping procedures

● Working knowledge of computer operations

● Excellent data entry skills

● Detail oriented

● Able to work in a fast-paced environment

● Financial statement understanding

 

Position-Specific Standards:

● Be available during consistent work hours Monday-Friday. Respond to emails and phone calls

in a timely manner.

● Experience with NetSuite Accounting Software required

● Experience with Spendmap expense approval software a plus

● Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

● Strong communication skills, written and verbal
