Position Summary The Content Developer will report to the Director of Content Production and collaborate with our Senior Content Developer in creating and developing new products, programs and live event content for the Brave Thinking Institute and faculty. Live event content includes: large and small online and in person events, live online classes and webinars, and digital products.

The Content Developer will report to the Director of Content Production and collaborate with our Senior Content Developer in creating and developing new products, programs and live event content for the Brave Thinking Institute and faculty. Live event content includes: large and small online and in person events, live online classes and webinars, and digital products.

 

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Design, create and edit highly engaging training content and curriculum in the form of outlines and/or scripts for the purpose of product creation - generating unique, simple-to-understand, and user-friendly content
  • Research for new and relevant video content to be used in our programs. Locate stories, current events and allegories that apply to the principles of a lesson. Recommend cutting-edge program elements to incorporate into program development
  • Assist in the development and application of personal development principles, and organizing ideas into effective frameworks
  • Become a subject matter expert in the underlying thinking technologies, and personal development principles identified in coaching programs.
  • Expert level use of allegories to illustrate learning objectives
  • Create training collateral materials including instructor presentations, instructor and client guides, quick reference materials, and hands-on exercises.
  • Assist in the creation and proofing powerpoints (minimum to advanced level competency) for live events (in person and virtual) and classes.
  • Work with the Director of Content Production to coordinate the creation of program/product videos with Mary Morrissey and faculty
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to refine avatar and client journey specifications.
  • Team up with Brave Thinking Institute faculty/subject matter experts to gather requirements and incorporate expertise into curriculums and learning objectives.
  • Create content (quizzes, e-books, etc.) to engage potential clients
  • Calculated and deliberate use of AI resources (such as ChatGPT) to enhance and support the development of your content (when appropriate).

 

Education / Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

 

Skills / Functional Competencies

  • Experience with long form and short form writing as well as curriculum development
  • Advanced level mastery of Powerpoint & Keynote
  • Expert capacity to read a variety of books rapidly and synthesize the meaning and themes in support of training content and curriculum
  • Experience in basic video editing is a plus but not required
  • Impeccable attention to detail including grammar, syntax and spelling
  • Expert Level mastery of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Google Docs

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Home office (tele-commute/work from home) 
  • Regular business hours 8:30am - 5:30pm; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Some nights & weekends as needed for events and launches
  • Periodic travel may be required for in person events and filming

Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 + Benefits (PTO, 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision)
