The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Technical Lead to shape and own our internal business intelligence platform. This role will architect, develop, and continuously improve reporting tools, semantic models, and data pipelines—driving clarity, insight, and action across the business. You’ll serve as a technical authority in business intelligence, collaborating with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to define and implement a scalable, user-friendly BI ecosystem. You’ll also play a critical role in maintaining data integrity, shaping our KPI framework, and supporting advanced analytics across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
● Own the BI platform stack – including tools like Power BI, Hex, and visualization libraries.
● Collaborate with engineers and analysts to design a KPI-driven semantic layer and support self-service analytics and consistent metric definitions.
● Develop, maintain, and document data models, pipelines, and reporting schemas in tools such as RudderStack, Airbyte, and dbt.
● Lead the UI/UX design of dashboards and visualizations, optimizing for clarity, accessibility, and decision-making.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, marketing, product, and executive stakeholders to deliver high-impact analytics solutions.
● Define and uphold BI development standards for data integrity, visualization consistency, and performance.
● Mentor and guide other developers or analysts working within the BI stack.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Experience:
● 4–7+ years in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering roles
● Proficient in Python and SQL for analytics and reporting dashboard development
● Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or Hex
● Experience working with semantic layers, managing data schemas, and modeling KPIs
● Strong understanding of data pipeline tools like RudderStack, Airbyte, or similar
● Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable, intuitive data solutions
● Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
● Experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation
● Familiarity with AI/ML tools for analytics use cases
● Exposure to modern data stacks and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
